Otto W. Schwalb
April 04, 1932 - March 15, 2024
Otto W. Schwalb, 91, died peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Hospice Savannah.
Otto was born in Savannah on April 4, 1932 to the late Agnes Sullivan Schwalb and Dr. Otto W. Schwalb, Sr. Otto served in the U.S. Army and U.S. National Guard for more than 33 years before retiring as a Master Seargeant. He also retired as an electronic technician from Southern Bell after 23 years of service. Otto was a life member of Chatham Artillery and a communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. He was a former member of Georgia Hussars and Knights of Columbus, 4th degree.
In addition to his parents, Otto was predeceased by his wife, Mary Agnes Burnett Schwalb; son, Clifford Tanner Schwalb; and a sister, Suzanne Louise Gordon.
Otto leaves behind his wife, Mary Lou Mueller Schwalb; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Otto W. Schwalb, III and Anne Schwalb; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at St. Frances Cabrni Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Mary Lou and Trey, my heart aches for you both. Otto was the best! I will forever be thankful for his friendship (and opportunity to enjoy his delicious desserts!). May the many beautiful memories you have give you comfort in the days, weeks & years ahead. With love & prayers.
